Ieva Sakalauskaitė

Welcome to my homepage! I am a PhD candidate at the University of Amsterdam and the Tinbergen Institute. My primary research interests lie in financial economics with a focus on banking and financial regulation.

In my job market paper, I introduce a novel dataset on misconduct in financial institutions to study how it relates to bank compensation schemes and investment opportunities. I find a positive relation between CEO pay and the value of malpractice initiated in periods of high growth, and suggest a theoretical model to explain the observed dynamics.

I expect to complete my PhD in the summer of 2018 and will be available for interviews at the 2018 ASSA Annual Meeting in Philadelphia and the SAEe meeting in Barcelona.

Please check my CV for further information on my education and relevant experience or follow the link above for an overview of my Research.

For additional information, contact me directly or get in touch with the placement director of the Tinbergen Institute, Prof. Eric Bartelsman.
